HomeMy WebLinkAbout14505 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,505 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SHI INTERNATIONAL, IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, 6 EIGHT HUNDRED THREE DOLLARS ($228,803.00),TO PROVIDE WEB- 7 BASED FIRE AND EMS INCIDENT REPORTING AND RECORDS 8 MANAGEMENT FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND 9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has determined it is necessary to upgrade and use a 12 different Records Management System to assure use of advanced technology and to meet accreditation 13 requirements; and, 14 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process it was determined that SHI International provided the 15 lowest responsible and responsive bid;and, 16 WHEREAS, this agreement includes the initial set-up, training, and the first year of maintenance of 17 the system, and also three(3)additional years of maintenance; 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with SHI International in an 21 amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred Three Dollars($228,803.00) 22 to provide a web-based Fire and EMS Incident Reporting and Record Management System,and initial set- 23 up and training, and maintenance for three(3)years after the first year at the rate of Forty-Nine Thousand, 24 Nine Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars($49,955.00) per year. 25 Section 2. Funds for this agreement will come from Act 833 Funds provided to the City of Little Rock 26 for the Little Rock Fire Department. 27 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 7. Repealer.
