3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
4 PAYMENT OF TWO (2) CHANGE ORDERS FOR AN ELDERLY HOME
5 REPAIR PROGRAM, LOCATED AT 2000 EAST 4TH STREET, IN THE
6 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, in 2015, the City of Little Rock ("the City") authorized an application for Arkansas
9 Housing Trust Fund monies to be used in conjunction with other monies for the City's HOME Repair
10 Program in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 14,170(August 4, 2015); and,
11 WHEREAS, one of the homes to be repaired for the amount of Forty-Eight Thousand Dollars
12 ($48,000.00)is located at 2000 East 4th Street in the City;however, it has become necessary to execute two
13 (2) change orders that raise the total amount to Fifty-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars
14 ($52,966.00),which is an amount beyond the authority of the City Manager to approve;
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City is authorized to execute,and the City Manager is authorized to assure the payment
18 of,two change orders in the total amount of Four Thousand,Nine Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars($4,966.00),
19 which is in addition to the Forty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($48,000.00) previously allowed for repairs to a
20 home at 2000 East 4th Street.
21 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
