3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH D&J RED IRON AND AGGREGATES, INC.,
5 FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO FOR THE
6 INSTALATION OF PRE-FABRICATED RESTROOMS; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has received an Arkansas State Parks Outdoor Recreation grant
10 for a total of Seventy-Three Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($73,200.00) to install pre-fabricated
11 restrooms at the Little Rock Zoo; and,
12 WHEREAS, if there is any additional amount required because of unforeseen change orders that
13 amount will need to come from the general budget appropriation for the Zoo; and,
14 WHEREAS, D&J Red Iron and Aggregates, Inc., has been selected as the company to install these
15 restrooms;
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with D&J Red Iron Aggregates,
19 Inc., in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Three Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($73,200.00) for the
20 installation of pre-fabricated restrooms at the Little Rock Zoo.
21 Section 2.
22 (a) Funds for this appropriation are available from Grant Match Account 108659-S65G105;
23 (b) If there is an overage, not to exceed 10% of the agreement, because of unforeseen change orders,
24 then up to an additional Seven Thousand,Three Hundred Twenty Dollars($7,320.00)is available from the
25 General Fund appropriation for the Zoo.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
