HomeMy WebLinkAbout14482 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,482 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULIC COMPANY, IN 5 THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, TWO HUNDRED SIX 6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($2,206,640.00), FOR 7 THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) AUTOMATED SIDE LOADER REFUSE 8 TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE 9 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, Public Works is in need of eight (8) Automated Side Loader Refuse Trucks to replace 13 older units that have excessive maintenance expenses and down time; and, 14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City can purchase 15 eight(8)Automated Side Loader Refuse Trucks from River City Hydraulic Company for the Public Works 16 Department, at a cost of Two Million, Two Hundred Six Thousand, Six Hundred Forty Dollars 17 ($2,206,640.00). 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 River City Hydraulic Company for the purchase of eight (8) Automated Side Loader Refuse Trucks, 22 utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the total amount of Two Million, Two 23 Hundred Six Thousand, Six Hundred Forty Dollars($2,206,640.00). 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Waste Disposal Fund. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
