Home My WebLink About14463 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,463 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MCCLELLAND CONSULTING 5 ENGINEERS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($97,500.00), FOR 7 ENGINEERING AND BID SPECIFICATION PREPARATION FOR THE 8 LITTLE ROCK ZOO'S NEW COLOBUS/SERVAL EXHIBIT; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, a new Colobus/Serval Exhibit will update the Africa section of the Little Rock Zoo in 12 accordance with the Zoo's Masterplan, to also highlight the conservation of these important animals and 13 allow the Zoo to work with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plans on breeding 14 programs that will contribute to the long-term survival of these species;and, 15 WHEREAS, this exhibit will offer new Zoo education opportunities and enhance visitors' 16 experiences; and, 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with McClelland 20 Consulting Engineers, Inc., which was selected by an RFQ committee, in an amount not to exceed 21 Ninety-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($97,500.00). 22 Section 2. Funds for the costs of the engineering will be paid from the Zoo's Capital Tax Account 23 326659-TS65A90. 24 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 25 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 26 Section 5. Severability.
