HomeMy WebLinkAbout14453 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,453 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE SUBMISSION OF THE 2017 ANNUAL 4 ACTION PLAN FOR CDBG, HOME AND HOPWA ENTITLEMENT 5 FUNDS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN 6 DEVELOPMENT; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT 7 THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE U.S. 8 DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City has access to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME and 12 HOPWA Funds on an annual basis; and, 13 WHEREAS, the use of these monies mandates that an action plan be submitted to the U.S. 14 Department of Housing & Urban Development by November 15, 2016, in accordance with Title I of the 15 Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990; and, 16 WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will provide updated 17 allocation amounts and will require an electronic submission of the plan upon request on or before 18 February 2017; and 19 WHEREAS, after extensive public discussion and citizen participation, including neighborhood 20 meetings,and a public hearing, a plan has been developed for submission; 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the 2017 Annual Action Plan for CDBG, 24 HOME and HOPWA Entitlement Funds to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, by 25 November 15, 2016, in accordance with the provisions of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable 26 Housing Act of 1990. 27 Section 2. The projected uses of these funds were approved by adoption of Little Rock, Ark. 28 Resolution No. 14,420 (September 20, 2016). 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 33 resolution.
