3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TRUCK CENTERS OF ARKANSAS, IN THE
5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND,
6 THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS ($239,336.00), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF TWO (2), TWELVE (12) CUBIC- YARD DUMP TRUCKS
8 WITH AUXILIARY HYDRALICS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of two (2), Twelve (12) Cubic-Yard Dump
12 Trucks with Auxiliary Hydraulics; and,
13 WHEREAS, bids were solicited and received through CLR Bid No. 16164, and Truck Centers of
14 Arkansas was the successful low bidder meeting specifications; and,
15 WHEREAS, this purchase will allow for replacement of older units that are currently accruing
16 excessive maintenance costs and down-time; and,
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Truck Centers of Arkansas for the purchase of two (2), Twelve (12) Cubic-Yard Dump Trucks for the
21 Public Works Department, for a total cost of this purchase being Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand,
22 Three Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars($239,336.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Account 205409 S40B607, Public Works Special
24 Equipment Activity.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
