3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH EVS MID-SOUTH, FOR A TOTAL COST OF
5 ONE MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND, SEVEN
6 HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS AND 01/100 DOLLARS
7 ($1,711,732.01), FOR THE PURCHASE OF SELF-CONTAINED
8 BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of 246 Air Paks and associated equipment;
12 and,
13 WHEREAS,the specifications were written and approved by the members serving on the Little Rock
14 Fire Department Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Committee, and EVS Mid-South was the lowest
15 bidder,with a bid of One Million, Seven Hundred Eleven,Seven Hundred Thirty-Two and 01/100 Dollars
16 ($1,711,732.01) and, staff recommends that a contract for this equipment be awarded to EVS Mid-South;
17 and,
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 EVS Mid-South as the lowest bidder for the purchase of 246 Air Paks and associated equipment for the
22 Little Rock Fire Department, for the total amount of One Million, Seven Hundred Eleven, Seven Hundred
23 Thirty-Two and 01/100 Dollars($1,711,732.01);
24 Section 2. Funds for this project are available from the 2016 Short-Term Financing.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
