HomeMy WebLinkAbout14422 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,422 2 3 A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE CONTRACT AWARD TO 4 REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., FOR ADDITIONAL 5 STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 6 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,to 9 maintain existing asphalt streets, and 10 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax issue which provided funding 11 for these resurfacing improvements, 12 AND, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid No. 16117) meeting 13 specifications for the 2016 Street Resurfacing Program, 14 AND, the Little Rock Port Authority has funding available for additional street resurfacing 15 improvements in the Little Rock Port. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone 19 Construction Group, Inc., to increase the contract amount not to exceed from Two Million, Seven 20 Hundred Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Twelve Dollars ($2,704,812.00) to an amount not to exceed of 21 Three Million, Three Hundred Fourteen Thousand, Eight Hundred Twelve Dollars ($3,314,812.00) to 22 resurface additional streets in the Little Rock Port. 23 SECTION 2. Funding for the additional street resurfacing in the Little Rock Port area will be 24 provided by the Little Rock Port Authority. 25 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 26 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 SECTION 4. Repealer.
