3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING
4 SERVICES WITH MCCLELLAND CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC., IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWELVE
6 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($112,750.00), TO A
7 WATER QUALITY DEMONSTRATION AND EDUCATIONAL
8 PROGRAM FOR MAIN STREET LITTLE ROCK, PHASE II (BLOCK 600
9 & 700); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

11 WHEREAS, The City was awarded an Environmental Protection Agency Grant from the Arkansas
12 Natural Resource Commission to continue construction of rain gardens, porous pavers, bioswales, and
13 other low-impact development water management features in the 600 and 700 Blocks of Main Street, and;
14 AND, McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc., was selected through a Statement of Qualifications
15 process, Bid No. 15031, to provide engineering design and survey services for the Water Quality
16 Demonstration and Educational Program for Main Street Little Rock, Phase II (Block 600 & 700).
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section. 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with McClelland
20 Consulting Engineers Inc., to provide engineering design and survey services for Water Quality
21 Demonstration and Educational Program for Main Street Little Rock, Phase II (Block 600 & 700), in
22 amount not to exceed One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars($112,750.00).
23 Section 2. The following project is authorized for engineering services by McClelland Consulting
24 Engineers, Inc.: Water Quality Demonstration and Educational Program for Main Street Little Rock,
25 Phase II (Block 600& 700).
26 Section 3. Funding for this contract is from proceeds of the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
27 Compensating Use Tax,designated for City-wide projects as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

1 Section 6. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
