3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 13,174 (AUGUST 2, 2010) TO REQUIRE ONLY AN ANNUAL MEETING
5 OF THE RECOVERY CENTER ADVISORY BOARD; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,in 2010 neighborhood concern regarding the use of the Oasis Center by Recovery Centers
9 of Arkansas was expressed which resulted in a resolution to set forth certain guidelines that had to be
10 followed to prevent the extinguishment of a non-conforming use statues; and,
11 WHEREAS, one aspect of these guidelines required the creation of an Advisory Board which held
12 meetings at least quarterly; and,
13 WHEREAS, it has been determined that few, if any,people attend these Quarterly Meetings and there
14 has been a request by Recovery Centers of Arkansas to reduce this requirement to an Annual Meeting;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. Section 2 (j) of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 13,174 (August 2. 2010) is hereby
18 amended to read as follows:
19 (j) The recovery center will create an Advisory Group made up of one (1)
20 representative from each surrounding neighborhood which shall meet at least once
21 annually to discuss the various programs offered, and to identify any proposed
22 changes to the programs that do not violate any of the provisions of this resolution.
23 Section 2.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
24 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
25 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
26 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
28 ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
