3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TODAY'S OFFICE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND, SIX AND 67/100 DOLLARS
6 ($80,006.67), FOR THE PURCHASE OF FACILITY FURNITURE FOR
7 THE WEST CENTRAL COMMUNITY CENTER; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,Construction of the West Central Community Center is nearing completion; and,
11 WHEREAS,in order to coordinate the furniture arrival with construction schedule, furniture needs to
12 be ordered at this time; and,
13 WHEREAS, furniture will be purchased through the Arkansas State Contract No. SP-13-0230R,
14 Dealer No. 4600031365; and,
15 WHEREAS,as such, staff recommends the approval of a resolution to authorize the City Manager to
16 enter into a contract with Today's Office for the purchase of facility furniture for the West Central
17 Community Center in the amount of Seventy-Six Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Six and 67/100 Dollars
18 ($76,196.67), plus a 5% contingency, for a total amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand, Six and 67/100
19 Dollars($80.006.67).
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Today's Office for the
23 purchase of facility furniture for the West Central Community Center in the amount of Seventy-Six
24 Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Six and 67/100 Dollars ($76,196.67), plus a 5% contingency, for a total
25 amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand, Six and 67/100 Dollars($80.006.67).
26 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
27 • Use Tax Funds,Account No. TS45Al2-326459-72100.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
29 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
30 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
31 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions,and parts thereof,which are in conflict with any
33 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
