3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND,
6 FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE AND 81/100 DOLLARS ($312,541.81),
7 FOR FAIR PARK TRAFFIC CALMING IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS,Bids were solicited for Fair Park Traffic Calming Improvements, Project No. 13-5-18C,
11 Bid No. 16018; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
116 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
17 Construction Group, Inc., for Fair Park Traffic Calming Improvements in an amount not to exceed Three
18 Hundred Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Forty-One and 81/100 Dollars ($312,541.81), which is the
19 base bid amount of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand, Four Hundred Fifty-One and 51/100 Dollars
20 ($260,451.51),plus 20%contingencies.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
22 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as
23 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269.
24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remainingportions of the resolution whichshall remain m full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
