HomeMy WebLinkAbout14355 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,355 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 INCREASE THE AUTHORIZED CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR JCI 5 CONSTRUCTION, INC., TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX 6 HUNDRED FOUR THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR 7 DOLLARS ($604,344.00), FOR THE WEST 17111 STREET 8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, JCI Construction, Inc., was awarded a contract for construction of the West 17th Street 11 Improvement Project from Brown Street to Woodrow Street by Resolution No. 14,117, Project No. 13-B- 12 IC, Bid No. 15-004 on May 5, 2015: and, 13 WHEREAS, it is desirable to increase the authorized contract amount for JCI Construction, Inc., to 14 provide for the relocation of a sanitary sewer to facilitate the project. 15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the contract amount for JCI 18 Construction, Inc., for the West 17th Street Improvement Project by Thirty-One Thousand, One Hundred 19 Forty Dollars($31,140.00), making a new authorized contract total of Six Hundred Four Thousand,Three 20 Hundred Forty-Four Dollars($604.344.00). 21 Section 2. Funding for this increase is to be reimbursed by the Little Rock Wastewater Utility. 22 Funding for the original project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use 23 Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as authorized by 24 Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with 31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 32 Section 5.
