3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED FOUR
6 THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS ($2,704,812.00),
7 FOR STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,to
11 maintain existing asphalt streets, and
12 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax issue which provided funding
13 for these resurfacing improvements,
14 AND, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid No. 16117) meeting
15 specifications.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
19 Construction Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Million, Seven Hundred Four Thousand, Eight
20 Hundred Twelve Dollars ($2,704,812.00), Two Million, Two Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand, Ten Dollars
21 ($2,254,010.00), plus 20%contingency.
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from funding provided by Sales Tax Funds approved
23 by citizens of the City of Little Rock.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
