3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULICS, IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND, EIGHT
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($344,800.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2),
7 TWENTY-FIVE (25) CUBIC-YARD REAR-LOADER SANITATION
8 TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
9 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE CONTRACT; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, Public Works is in need of two (2), Twenty-Five (25) Cubic-Yard Rear Loader
13 Sanitation Trucks to replace aged and high maintenance Sanitation trucks currently in the City's fleet;
14 and,
15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract, the City Fleet Services can
16 purchase two (2), Twenty-Five (25) Cubic-Yard Rear Loader Sanitation Trucks at a cost of Three
17 Hundred Forty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars($344,800.00),from River City Hydraulics;
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 River City Hydraulics for the purchase of two (2), Twenty-Five (25) Cubic-Yard Rear Loader Sanitation
22 Trucks for the Public Works Department, utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract, for the
23 amount of Three Hundred Forty-Four Thousand,Eight Hundred Dollars($344,800.00).
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Public Works Solid Waste Collections Account.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
