3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PETERSEN INDUSTRIES, IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, SEVEN
6 HUNDRED TWELVE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($156,712.20), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF ONE (1), THIRTY (30) CUBIC-YARD KNUCKLEBOOM
8 TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
9 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE CONTRACT; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, Public Works is in need of one (1), Thirty (30) Cubic-Yard Knuckleboom Truck to
13 replace an aged and high maintenance Knuckleboom Truck currently in the City's fleet; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract, the City Fleet Services can
15 purchase one (1), Thirty (30) Cubic-Yard Knuckleboom Truck at a cost of One Hundred Fifty-Six
16 Thousand, Seven Hundred Twelve and 20/100 Dollars($156,712.20)from Petersen Industries;
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Petersen Industries for the purchase of one (1), Thirty (30) Cubic-Yard Knuckleboom Truck for the
21 Public Works Department, utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract, for the amount of One
22 Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred Twelve and 20/100 Dollars($156,712.20).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Public Works Solid Waste Collections Account
24 (vehicles).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
