3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, IN
5 THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED FORTY-
6 SIX DOLLARS ($56,146.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) DODGE
7 DURANGO AND ONE (1) RAM 1500 PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE
8 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
9 CONTRACT PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Public Works Department is in need of one(1)Dodge Durango and one
13 (1)Ram 1500 Pick-Up Truck; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, the Little Rock Police Department can
15 purchase these two (2) vehicles from Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep, for the total cost of Fifty-Six
16 Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Six Dollars($56,146.00); and,
17 WHEREAS, this purchase will allow for replacement of aged and high maintenance vehicles
18 currently in the City's fleet;
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the Arkansas State
22 Contract to enter into a contract with Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep for the purchase of one (1) Dodge
23 Durango and one (1) Ram 1500 Pick-Up Truck for the Little Rock Public Works Department, for a total
24 cost of Fifty-Six Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Six Dollars($56,146.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Solid Waste Disposal and Waste
26 Disposal Admin Account.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
