HomeMy WebLinkAbout21187 1111111111111111111111101111111111111 2016013344 s1-0f'ri PRESENTED:03-07-201610:17:57 AM RECORDED:03-07-201610:22:35 AM �, �' ;�" y c I Offc al Records of Larry Crane Circuit/County Clerk 1 a' � ORDINANCE NO. �l )«7 s, PULASKI CO,AR FEE$20.00 2 ", '"•0440q7,, @ C 3 A ( RtINANCE TO ACCEPT THE KANIS RIDGE ANNEXATION A- 4 326), TO ADD CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 5 ARKANSAS;•AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition") was filed with the County Clerk of 8 Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of hereinafter designated lands praying that said lands be 9 annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas; and, 10 WHEREAS, on January 12, 2016, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the 11 Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real property owners of the area to be 12 annexed and by the owners of some 9.4 acres of said area;and, 13 WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of 14 Little Rock; and, 15 WHEREAS,an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of said Petition; and, 16 WHEREAS,proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law; and, 17 WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner prescribed by law and that 18 said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock. 19 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT;ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining the City of Little Rock, 22 Arkansas is accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, 23 to wit: 24 KANIS RIDGE 25 ANNEXATION(A-326) 26 Tract 10, Sachs' Suburban Subdivision, filed for record Book 2, Phase 87, Records 27 of Pulaski County,Arkansas, lying in the Southeast Quarter of Section 6,Township 28 I North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas more particularly described as 29 described as follows: 30 Beginning at a found one (1)-inch bolt at the southeast corner of Summit Ridge 31 Subdivision south 01 degrees 47 minutes 13 seconds west 320.98 feet; thence north 32 88 degrees 32 minutes 13 seconds west 1,154.74 feet to a point on the north right-of- 33 way line of Kanis Road; thence along said right-of-way north 35 degrees 18 minutes 34 59 seconds west 397.54 feet; thence leaving said right-of-way south 88 degrees 38 [Page 1 of 2] 1 minutes 32 seconds east 1,394.57 feet to the point of beginning containing 9.36 acres, 2 more or less,and including all adjacent and abutting streets and rights-of-way. 3 SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock shall provide police and fire protection and assume 4 maintenance responsibility for the portion of Kanis Road fronting said property from the effective date of 5 the annexation. 6 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 7 or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 8 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 9 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 10 ordinance. 11 SECTION 4. Repealer.
