3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH P. JEFF HOGGARD, P.A., TO PROVIDE
5 GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS AND CONSULTING SERVICES; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock solicited qualifications fcations to hire a firm for Governmental Affairs
9 and Consulting Services; and,
10 WHEREAS, the Cityof Little tt e Rock chose P. Jeff Hoggard, P.A., after reviewing several proposals;
11 and,
12 WHEREAS, a firm of this nature is crucial to ensure the City is well represented with the Arkansas
13 General Assembly on issues ranging from appropriations to programs and other legislative mandates;
14 NOW,THEREFORE;BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with P. Jeff Hoggard,
17 P.A. torovide Governmental Affairs and Consulting p o sulting Services.
18 Section 2: The City of Little Rock will pay up to Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00) for the
19 services to be provided in 2016. The contract may be extended up to two (2), twelve (12)-month periods
20 upon mutual consent of both parties at a maximum of Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars($35,000.00)per year.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
