Home My WebLink About14292 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,292 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT INCREASE FOR 4 GENE SUMMERS CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF 5 FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS 6 ($54,624.00) FOR ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS TO SHERRILL 7 ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 8 9 WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorized a contract with Gene Summers 10 Construction, Inc., by Resolution No. 13,997 for the Sherrill Road Street & Drainage Improvement 11 Project,Bid No. 14-165, 12 WHEREAS, it is desirable to increase the authorized contract amount for Gene Summers 13 Construction,Inc.,to provide for the relocation of a sanitary sewer.to facilitate the project. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the contract amount for Gene 17 Summers Construction, Inc., for the Sherrill Road Street & Drainage Improvement Project in the amount 18 of Fifty-Four Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-Four Dollars ($54,624.00), making a new authorized 19 contract amount of Five Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred Thirty-One and 20/100 Dollars 20 ($521,731.20). 21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project was authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and Resolution No. 22 14,269. 23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 30 SECTION 5.
