HomeMy WebLinkAbout14267 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,267 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WATCHGUARD VIDEO COMPANY FOR 5 THE PURCHASE OF THIRTY-TWO (32) IN-CAR CAMERA SYSTEMS 6 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, IN THE TOTAL 7 PURCHASE PRICE OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, 8 TWO HUNDRED FOUR AND 16/100 DOLLARS ($157,204.16), 9 UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC) 10 COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department is in need of thirty-two (32) In-Car Camera Systems 14 to support the equipping for service of newly-purchased Patrol Vehicles;and, 15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC), the Little Rock Police 16 Department can purchase thirty-two (32) In-Car Camera Systems from WatchGuard Video Company to 17 equip the newly-purchased Patrol Vehicles for the total cost of One Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand, Two 18 Hundred Four and 16/100 Dollars($157,204.16); 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the Houston- 22 Galveston Area Council (HGAC) to enter into a contract with WatchGuard Video Company for the 23 purchase of thirty-two (32) In-Car Camera Systems to equip the newly-purchased Patrol Vehicles at a 24 total cost of One Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand,Two Hundred Four and 16/100 Dollars($157,204.16). 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Police Fleet 2015 Account. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 33 ADOPTED: January 5,2016 [Page 1 of2l 1 AT ,. .
