3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO CAP FLEET
4 UPFITTERS FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF THE
5 NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO PREPARE THIRTY-THREE(33)POLICE
6 INTERCEPTOR PATROL SUVS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,once vehicles are purchased for use by the Little Rock Police Department it is necessary
9 to install additional equipment before they can be used as Patrol Vehicles; and,
10 WHEREAS,there is a need for the immediate installation as to thirty-three(33) SUVs, and there will
11 be a need to install certain equipment on additional vehicles throughout 2016; and,
12. WHEREAS, as a result of a competitive bidding process it was determined that Cap Fleet
13 Upfitters was the lowest responsible and responsive bid of the three bids received for the
14 immediate installation of such equipment for thirty-three (33) SUVs;
15 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Cap Fleet Upfitters in
18 an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Eight and 34/100
19 Dollars ($289,508.34) for the purchase and installation of necessary equipment to prepare thirty-
20 three (33)Police Interceptor Patrol SUVs.
21 Section 2. Funds for these purchases are available from short-term financing in Account Nos.
22 S52A558; 108529; and, 72300.
23 Section 4. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph,
24 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this
26 resolution,as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision were not originally a part of this resolution.
27 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
28 resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
