3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ACCELERANDO, INC., FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, INSTALLATION AND
6 TRAINING FOR A NEW POINT OF SALE SYSTEM FOR THE LITTLE
7 ROCK ZOO, IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE
8 THOUSAND, SEVENTEEN DOLLARS ($251,017.00), PLUS 20% FOR
9 CONTINGENCIES FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
10 HUNDRED ONE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY AND 40/100
11 DOLLARS ($301,220.40); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, a bid was issued for the purchase of hardware, software, installation and training for a
14 new Point of Sale System at the Little Rock Zoo to replace the current system which is obsolete and will
15 no longer be supported as of January 12, 2016; and,
16 WHEREAS, Accelerando, Inc. submitted the most responsible and responsive bid in the amount of
17 Two Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, Seventeen Dollars ($251,017.00), plus 20% for contingencies for
18 possible change orders, for a total amount of Three Hundred One Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty and
19 40/100 Dollars(301,220.40);
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Accelerando, Inc. in
23 the total amount of Two Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, Seventeen Dollars ($251,017.00), plus 20% for
24 contingencies for possible change orders, in the amount of Fifty Thousand, Eighty-Five and 40/100
25 Dollars ($50,085.40), for the purchase of hardware, software, installation and training for a new Point of
26 Sale System at the Little Rock Zoo to replace the current system which is obsolete and will no longer be
27 supported as of January 12, 2016.
28 Section 2. Funds for this project will be paid from the Zoo 3/8-Cent Tax Account, Special Project.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
34 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
