3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALEXANDER OPEN SYSTEM (AOS), FOR
5 THE ANNUAL RENEWAL OF CISCO EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
6 FOR THE CITY'S CORE NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE, AT A
7 YEARLY COST OF FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, ELEVEN AND 36/100
8 DOLLARS ($58,011.36), PLUS TAXES AND FEES, UTILIZING THE
9 ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department needs to renew the Cisco Equipment
13 Maintenance contract for the City's core network infrastructure from Alexander Open Systems(AOP);and,
14 WHEREAS,the maintenance provides service and support to the City's core network infrastructure;
15 and,
16 WHEREAS, the total yearly cost for the maintenance of the service and support of the City's core
17 network infrastructure is Fifty-Eight Thousand, Eleven and 36/100 Dollars ($58,011.36) plus taxes and
18 fees,with pricing from Arkansas State Contract SP-11-0185.
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Alexander Open Systems
22 (AOS), for the amount of Fifty-Eight Thousand, Eleven and 36/100 Dollars ($58,011.36), plus taxes and
23 fees,by utilizing Arkansas State Purchasing Contract SP-11-0185;
24 Section 2. Funds for the renewal cost of the yearly contract will be paid from the Information
25 Technology Department's Annual Network Maintenance Budget.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
