HomeMy WebLinkAbout14261 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,261 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES, INC., IN THE TOTAL 5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED NINETY-TWO THOUSAND, TWO 6 HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($192,272.00), FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF TWO (2) SERVICE TRUCKS WITH ARTICULATED 8 AERIAL DEVICES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, 9 UTILIZING THE NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) 10 CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, Public Works is in need of two (2) Service Trucks with Articulated Aerial Devices to 13 replace older units that are accruing excessive maintenance expenses and down time; and, 14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract,the City can purchase 15 two (2) Service Trucks with Articulated Aerial Devices for use of the Public Works Department for the 16 amount of One Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand,Two Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars($192,272.00); 17 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 20 Altec Industries, Inc. for the purchase of two(2) Service Trucks with Articulated Aerial Devices, utilizing 21 the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the use of the Public Works Department, for the 22 total amount of One Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand,Two Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars($192,272.00). 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Capital Assets — Vehicles 24 account. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remainingportions of the resolution J o ution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
