3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH CHI ST. VINCENT INFIRMARY FOR THE
5 PROVISION OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND WITH CARELINK TO
6 PROVIDE MEALS ON WHEELS TO THE ELDERLY AND LOW-
7 INCOME PERSONS RESIDING IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock receives Community Development Block Grant Funds from the
11 Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
12 WHEREAS, in August 2014, the City of Little Rock Board of Directors approved Resolution No.
13 13,954, approving sources and uses of CDBG,HOME and HOPWA Funds; and,
14 WHEREAS,the uses of the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Funds included an allocation
15 for CHI St.Vincent Infirmary and Carelink;
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with CHI St. Vincent Infirmary for
19 the provision of health care services and with Carelink to provide Meals on Wheels to the elderly to service
20 low-income persons residing in the City of Little Rock.
21 Section 2. These services will be funded from the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Funds
22 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
