VEHICLE REPAIR PARTS FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER AS A 6 PRIMARY VENDOR, AND TRI-STATE ENTERPRISES, INC., AS A 7 SECONDARY VENDOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,it is necessary for the City to have ready access to miscellaneous vehicle repair parts,and 10 the most economical way to do so is to have an annual contract with a primary vendor, and a secondary 11 vendor, to purchases these parts so that competitive selection processes do not have to be used multiple 12 times during the course of a fiscal year; and, 13 WHEREAS, after such a process it was determined that Bumper to Bumper should be the primary 14 vendor, and Tri-State Enterprises,Inc., should be the secondary vendor; 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into annual purchase agreements with the 18 following vendors for Non-Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM)Light-Duty Vehicle Repair Parts for 19 the City: 20 (a) Bumper to Bumper as the primary vendor; 21 (b) Tri-State Enterprises,Inc., as the secondary vendor. 22 Section 2. These agreements,which will be in the form of an Annual Purchase Order,shall not exceed 23 an annual expenditure of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars($500,000.00). 24 Section 3. The initial agreement shall be for the period of January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2016, 25 with the City having the option to continue annual purchase orders at its option in accordance with this 26 resolution for up to two (2) additional one (1)-year extensions, with the understanding that in any event, 27 this matter will be subject to a competitive selection process again in 2017 for the fiscal year 2018;further, 28 that the continuation of this agreement may be accomplished by the City Manager upon notice to the Mayor 29 and Members of the Board of Directors. 30 Section 4. Funds for the initial contract are available in the 2015 Fleet Services Budget for Parts. 31 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 2] 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 6. Repealer.
