3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL
4 VEHICLES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, FIVE
5 HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,500,000.00), FOR THE LITTLE
6 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM THE ARKASNAS STATE
7 CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is a need for additional vehicles for the Little Rock
10 Police Department and the such vehicles can be purchased off of the state contract from Landers Ford;and,
11 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Landers Ford of Benton,
14 Arkansas, pursuant to the Arkansas Sate Contract, for the an amount not to exceed One Million, Five
15 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00), for the purchase of new motor vehicles for the Little Rock
16 Police Department.
17 Section 2. It is understood that this purchase shall be authorized as of November 3, 2015.
18 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are in the City General Fund, but it is possible that the specific
19 account number will change with a budget adjustment ordinance, therefore, the Director of Finance &
20 Treasurer is directed to take such steps as necessary to properly account for this purchase.
21 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 5. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
