3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR THE
4 PURCHASE OF READY MIX CONCRETE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
5 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS,the City advertised a formal bid to solicit proposals for an annual contract for Ready Mix
8 Concrete for the Public Works Department,and the only bid received was from Levy Concrete;
9 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
10 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
11 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Levy Concrete as primary
12 vendor in an approximate amount of One Hundred, Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) for contract
13 purchases of Ready Mix Concrete for the Public Works Department.
14 Section 2: This contract shall be for one(1)-year from the date of the award,with the provision that it
15 may be extended yearly for two(2)additional years upon agreement of both parties.
16 Section 3. Funds for this agreement are available in accounts, 326409-73106-TS40A08 (Sidewalk
17 Program from Sales Tax)and 204003-61020(Streets,Alleys, and Bridges).
18 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
19 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
20 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
21 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
22 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof,which are in conflict with any
23 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
