2 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT ROSE LAW FIRM AS BOND COUNSEL
3 FOR THE PROPOSED 2005 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT SHORT -TERM
4 FINANCING PROJECT AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
5 WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform
6 legal work related to the short -term financing of capital equipment for 2005; and
7 WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to handle this work;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by a selection committee designated in
10 accordance with City ordinance; and
11 WHEREAS, the committee has concluded that the law firm of Rose Law Firm is the
12 most qualified to handle the legal work, and has the knowledge and experience with
13 similar financings in Arkansas and nationally;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with
17 Rose Law Firm to act as bond counsel for the 2005 short -term financing project of capital
18 expenditures.
