3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE PULASKI COUNTY FIRE
5 PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2 FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES
6 AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENT RESPONSE FOR
7 CAMMACK VILLAGE FOR A TERM OF TEN (10) YEARS; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, in 2007 the Little Rock Fire Department entered into an agreement with the Pulaski
11 County Fire Protection District No. 2 to provide fire protection services and hazardous materials incident
12 response to Cammack Village; and,
13 WHEREAS, since this agreement was entered into, Cammack Village has dissolved its Volunteer
14 Fire Department and is reliant upon the Little Rock Fire Department for fire protection services for the
15 safety and wellbeing of their citizens;and,
16 WHEREAS, the original agreement between the City of Little Rock and Cammack Village for fire
17 protection services and hazardous materials incident response has expired and the Little Rock Fire
18 Department and the Pulaski County Fire Protection District No. 2 request approval to execute a new Fire
19 Protection Services Agreement for a term of ten(10)years;and,
20 WHEREAS,the Fire Protection Services Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Pulaski
21 County Fire Protection District No. 2 and the Cammack Village City Council which have agreed to remit
22 Ten Thousand,Five Hundred Dollars($10,500.00)per annum for each year this extended agreement is in
23 effect;
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement between the City of Little
27 Rock and the Pulaski County Fire Protection District No. 2, for fire protection services and hazardous
28 materials incident response for Cammack Village for a term of ten years, during which time the Pulaski
29 County Fire Protection District No. 2 and the Cammack Village City Council shall remit Ten Thousand,
30 Five Hundred Dollars($10,500.00)per annum to the City of Little Rock for each year this agreement is in
31 effect.
