AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ASSIGN-
ING SAME TO WARDS
WHEREAS, a Petition was filed with the County Clerk Of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter
described lands, praying that said lands be annexed to and
made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of October , 1978, the
County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the
Petition was signed by the majority of the owners in area
and in number of the following described lands located in
Pulaski County, Arkansas; that said lands are contiguous
and adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate plat or map of said
lands had been filed with and made a part of said Petition;
that proper notice has been given for the time and in the
manner prescribed by law, and that all things pertaining
thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law, and
that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of
same by the Board of Directors of the said City at the proper
time as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for 'appealing from said
Order of annexation made by the County Court has expired and
no appeal has been taken from said Order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
- - SECTION 1. That the following described lands contiguous
to and adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and
the same are hereby accepted as part of and annexed to and
made a part of the City of Little Rock:
A tract of land located in the Ni NE4 NE4, Section
4, T-1-N, R-13-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as: Beginning at the North-
west corner of Lot 12, Beverly Hills Addition, Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, said corner being
located on the present City Limits line, and the
East rigtt-of-way line of Monterey Drive; thence
Northeasterly along said East right-of-way line and
City Limits line, being the arc of 311.5 ft. radius
curve to the left, having a chord bearing and dis-
tanceof N 14°27'13" E, 128.2 ft. to a point; thence
N 2°40'30" E and continuing along said East right-of
way line and said East right of way line projected
Northerly all located on the present City Limits line,
47.5 ft. to a point on the North line of the NZ NE4
NE4 said Section 4; thence S 87°19'30" E along said
North line 90.0 ft. to a point on the present City
Limits line; thence S 2°40'30" W along said City
Limits line, being the West line of Tract "A" Beverly
Hills Addition and said West line projected Northerly
135.3 ft. to a point; thence S 13°06'30" W along the
West line of said Tract "A" and present City Limits
line 77.85 ft. to the Northeast corner of said Lot
12, Beverly Hills Addition; thence N 66°34'30" W along
the North line of said Lot 12 and present City Limits
line, 109.2 ft. to the point of beginning and including
all abutting or adjacent public street rights-of-way.
SECTION 2. That the above described lands shall be annexed
to and made a part of Ward No. 5 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and the same shall henceforth be a part of said Ward
as fully as existing parts of said Ward.
