3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DELL, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF 130
5 DESKTOP COMPUTERS, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
6 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department needs to purchase 130 desktop computers to
9 replace devices which do not support current operating systems and software; and,
10 WHEREAS, these computers can be purchased for the total amount of One Hundred Forty-Five
11 Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty and 85/100 Dollars ($145,620.85), by utilizing the Arkansas State
12 Purchasing Contract;
13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase 130 desktop computers from Dell, Inc., for
16 the amount of One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty and 85/100 Dollars
17 ($145,620.85), by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract;
18 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from Information Technology Operational Sales Tax
19 Account 103001-72400 and the Planning& Development Operational Sales Tax Account 103301-72400.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
