3 A RESOLUTION TO ALLOCATE FUNDS TO EQUIP APPARATUS FOR
4 THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
5 PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department previously received Short-Term Financing to purchase
8 five(5)Fire Engines and one(1) Ladder Truck; and,
9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department requests approval to authorize the purchase of fire
10 equipment from Sunbelt Fire to fully-equip five(5) Engines and one(1)Truck previously purchased from
11 Sunbelt Fire through Short-Term Financing through Little Rock Resolution No. 13,922 adopted by the
12 Board of Directors on July 1, 2014, and Purchase Order #112559 was issued to authorize the purchase;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS,the Fire Department will realize a savings of several thousand dollars by purchasing the
15 apparatus fully equipped;
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
19 Sunbelt Fire to fully equip five(5) Engines and one(1)Truck previously purchased from Sunbelt Fire and
20 which will be delivered in late February and late March, 2015, respectively.
21 Section 2. Funds for this project in the amount of One Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Four Hundred
22 Eighty Dollars ($131,480.00) will come from the Fire Department's Act 833 Funds in the amount of
23 Eighty-One Thousand, Four Hundred Eighty Dollars($81,480.00), and a Fleet Department Account in the
24 amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
