3 AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON THE UNDEVELOPED WEST 31ST
4 STREET FROM JOHN BARROW ROAD EAST 107.55 FEET TO A
5 PLATTED NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY (G-23-452), IN THE CITY OF
6 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, a request was made to abandon a forty (40)-foot side undeveloped right-of-way for
9 West 315' Street adjacent to Lot 7, Block 148 John Barrow Addition and Lot 12, Block 147 John Barrow
10 Addition (G-23-452), pursuant to the City's general Police Power authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14-
11 54-104; and,
12 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the abandonment of the aforementioned easement will
13 not have an adverse impact on the adjacent property owners or the public welfare and safety;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the undeveloped forty
17 (40)-foot wide right-of-way for West 315 Street adjacent to Lot 7, Block 148 John Barrow Addition and
18 Lot 12, Block 147 John Barrow Addition in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
19 Section 2: The area will be retained as a drainage and utility easement.
20 Section 3. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the real estate
21 records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex-officio recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
22 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part
26 of the ordinance.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are
28 inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
