3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO MOVE
4 FORWARD WITH THIRD-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSIONS FOR
5 NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED AFTERSCHOOL/OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME
6 PROGRAMS, YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAMS, CITYWIDE
7 ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES, TECHNICAL
8 ASSISTANCE SERVICES AND RE-ENTRY SERVICES TO LITTLE
9 ROCK RESIDENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth
12 Development Programs and Services to enhance public safety and community-building; and,
13 WHEREAS, the City has contracts with service providers to provide Neighborhood-Based
14 Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Programs, Youth Intervention Programs, Citywide Enhancement
15 Programs and Services, Re-Entry Services, and Technical Assistance Services for two (2), one (1)-year
16 contract terms based upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the parties;
17 and,
18 WHEREAS, the City desires to authorize the City Manager to move forward with the process for
19 extending these contracts for a third and final year;
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations to provide
23 Neighborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Programs, Youth Intervention Programs, Citywide
24 Enhancement Programs and Services, Re-Entry Services, and Technical Assistance Services upon
25 approval of the contract by the City Attorney.
26 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from The PIT Allocation, account number S 15A266.
27 Section 4. The term of each contract shall be for one(1),twelve(12)-month period in 2015-2016.
28 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
29 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
30 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
31 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
32 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
33 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
