3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO REQUEST A PARKS
4 AND TOURISM GRANT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LITTLE ROCK
5 ADVERTISING & PROMOTION COMMISISON TO CONDUCT A
6 FEASABILITY STUDY FOR AN INDOOR MULTI-SPORTS FACILITY;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Advertising&Promotion Commission("the Commission")would like to
10 determine the feasibility of an indoor multi-sports facility located within the corporate limits of the City of
11 Little Rock,Arkansas; and,
12 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock(`the City")can apply for a grant from the Arkansas Department
13 of Parks&Tourism for Fifteen Thousand Dollars($15,000.00)to help fund such a study,with the matching
14 portion to be paid from the revenues of the Commission;
15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit a grant request to the Arkansas Department of
18 Parks & Tourism for a Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) grant to help fund the cost of a feasibility
19 study on the placement of a multi-sports indoor facility within the corporate limits of the City,provided the
20 matching funds for such grant are to be provided by the Commission.
21 Section 2. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration
23 or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
