HomeMy WebLinkAbout13952 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,952 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH EVO BUSINESS ENVIRONMENTS, A 5 STATE CONTRACT VENDOR, FOR THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE 6 FURNITURE FOR THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE 12TH STREET 7 STATION, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN 8 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE AND 77/100 DOLLARS 9 ($119,389.77); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Roark, Perkins, Perry and Yelvington contacted EVO Business 12 Environments, a State Contract Office Furniture Vendor, to supply a design diagram and cost projections 13 for specific pieces of furniture for the second floor of the new l 2th Street Station; and, 14 WHEREAS, this design and cost projection was made in conjunction with the architects for this 15 project and members of the Little Rock Police Department who will occupy the station; and, 16 WHEREAS, EVO Business Environments has submitted a proposal to provide a design diagram and 17 cost projections for specific pieces of furniture for the second floor of the new 12th Street Station, in the 18 amount of One Hundred Nineteen Thousand, Three Hundred Eighty-Nine and 77/100 Dollars 19 ($119,387.77), which includes shipping, installation and taxes. 20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 23 EVO Business Environments to supply a design diagram and specific items of furniture for the second 24 floor of the new 12th Street Station, in the total amount of One Hundred Nineteen Thousand, Three 25 Hundred Eighty-Nine and 77/100 Dollars($119,389.77), which includes shipping, installation and taxes. 26 Section 2. Funding for this project will come from the 2014 Justice Assistance Grant which was 27 specifically structured for this purchase. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer.
