3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH SEVEN (7) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE
5 SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS TO LITTLE ROCK YOUTH
6 AGES SIX (6)—FIFTEEN (15); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth
9 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and
10 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 14128 to solicit proposals for Little Rock Summer
11 Recreation Programs for Little Rock youth ages six(6)to fifteen (15), and
12 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on May 16, 2014, and
13 recommends the organizations listed below for contract awards.
14 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. Contracts for Summer Recreation programs are hereby awarded to the following
17 organizations:
18 Oar anization Bid
19 Our House Shelter $20,000.00
20 Wildwood $20,000.00
21 Little Scholars $20,000.00
22 Pfeifer Camp $20,000.00
23 Effective Leaders $20,000.00
24 EMOBA $20,000.00
25 Centers for Youth and Families-Outpatient $20,000.00
26 Centers for Youth and Families-Day Treatment $20,000.00
27 Centers for Youth and Families-Emergency Shelter $20,000.00

29 TOTAL $180,000.00
30 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations providing
31 Summer Recreation Programs and services, upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney.
32 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2014 PIT Allocation, account number S15A304.
33 Section 4. The term of the contracts shall be June 16,2014,to august 1, 2014.
34 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
35 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
36 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
37 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.

1 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
2 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
