3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF$95,000.00
4 FROM THE PROCEEDS OF THE 3/8-CENT SALES AND
5 COMPENSATING USE TAX FOR USE BY THE ARKANSAS LIVESTOCK
6 SHOW COMMISSION FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BARTON
7 COLISEUM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors previously stated its intention to expend up to Three Million
10 Dollars($3,000,000.00)of the 3/8-Cent Sales and Compensating Use Tax proceeds for the City's efforts to
11 keep the Arkansas State Fair located in Little Rock; and,
12 WHEREAS, an initial appropriation was made for improvements to Barton Coliseum in Little Rock,
13 Ark., Resolution No. 13,577 (October 1, 2012); and,
14 WHEREAS, the Arkansas Livestock Show Association has expressed a need for Ninety-Five
15 Thousand Dollars($95,000.00)to help with the costs of additional improvements to the Coliseum and the
16 Administration Building on the fairgrounds;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
18 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The amount of Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars ($95,000.00) is hereby appropriated from
20 the proceeds of the 3/8-Cent Sales and Compensating Use Tax for use by the Arkansas Livestock Show
21 Association for repairs and renovation of Barton Coliseum.
22 Section 2. Funds for this appropriation are available in Account No. 326459, Activity TS45A09.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 7 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
