3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ACQUIRE PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION
5 EASEMENTS AND TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY EI R &
6 AGREEMENTS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO A PORTION OF THE
7 RIVER BLUFFS SEGMENT OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL; AND F 1
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. f ,'
10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is constructing improvements to a portion of the River
11 Bluffs Segment of the Arkansas River Trail between North Cantrell Street at Gill Street and the trail east
12 of the Union Pacific Railroad Company main line; and,
13 WHEREAS, as part of the construction, the City shall require certain permanent and temporary
14 construction easements and shared use and other necessary agreements in order to access areas of
15 construction and to maintain the improvements;
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to acquire permanent and temporary construction
19 easements,easement deeds, and enter into sales, shared use and any and all other necessary agreements to
20 construct the improvements known as the Little Rock Bike Connector, as authorized by Little Rock, Ark.,
21 Resolution No. 13,727(July 9, 2013).
22 Section 2. Easements, easement deeds and use agreement to be acquired are described in Arkansas
23 Highway and Transportation Department Job Number 061121,to include:
24 Tract 1: A part of Blocks 19, 27 and 28, Worthen's Subdivision to the City of Little Rock,
25 Pulaski County, Arkansas containing 0.75 acres, more or less.
26 Tract 1E2: Part of Blocks 19 and 20, Worthen's Subdivision to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
27 County, Arkansas containing 0.13 acres, more or less.
28 Tract 8E: Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 2
29 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas containing 0.13 acres, more or less.
30 Tract 9: Part of Blocks 355 and 356, Original City of Little Rock, and part of Ringo Street
31 (closed)all in Pulaski County, Arkansas containing 0.27 acres, more or less.
32 Tract 10: Part of Block 355, Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas containing
33 0.14 acres,more or less.

1 Section 3. Funding for this project is from a Federal-Aid Transportation Alternatives Program grant
2 from Metroplan/Arkansas Highway Transportation Department, designated grant match funds and State
3 funding for the regional river trail project. Estimated cost of the acquisitions is Two Hundred Seventy
4 Thousand Dollars($270,000.00).
5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
6 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
7 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
9 resolution.
10 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
11 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
12 Section 6. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
