13839 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,839 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO V.R. SMITH & SONS, 4 INC., TO PROVIDE RESTORATION AND STABILIZATION SERVICES 5 AT THE OAKLAND & FRATERNAL HISTORIC CEMETERY PARK; 6 TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A 7 CONTRACT WITH V.R. SMITH & SONS, INC., FOR SUCH SERVICES; 8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, after the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park Board approved the bidding of 11 needed restoration and stabilization services for the Oakland Mausoleum located at the Oakland & 12 Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park, and a two-step Request for Proposals, Bid No. 13181,was issued,and 13 WHEREAS, of the bids received, the bid from V.R. Smith & Sons, Inc., was determined to be the 14 low bid from among the qualified bidders, and 15 WHEREAS, V.R. Smith & Sons, Inc., is ready and willing to perform the needed services. 16 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a contract to V.R. Smith & Sons, Inc., to provide 19 renovation and stabilization services to the Oakland Mausoleum pursuant to Request for Proposals No. 20 13181 for a total contract amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Four Hundred and 21 Eighty-Four Dollars ($122,484.00), and authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract, in a form 22 acceptable to the City Attorney, for such services. 23 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 24 Park account for maintenance of the Oakland Mausoleum. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 27 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef- 28 fect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4.Repealer.
