3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT, IN THE AMOUNT
5 OF EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($85,000.00),
6 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CASE 580SN LOADER/BACKHOE
7 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT,
8 UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC)
9 COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department is in need of a Case 580SN
13 Loader/Backhoe that will replace aging, high maintenance equipment; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAG), the Parks and Recreation
15 Department can purchase the 580SNLoader/Backhoe from Scott Equipment Company for the amount of
16 Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars($85,000.00);
17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Scott Equipment Company for the purchase of one (1) 580SN Loader/Backhoe that will replace aging,
21 high maintenance equipment, utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Cooperative
22 Purchasing Agreement, for the amount of Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars($85,000.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated as follows: Fleet Services Replacement Fund.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
