3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULIC COMPANY, IN
5 THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-NINE,
6 SIXHUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS ($749,670.00), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF THREE (3), THIRTY (30) CUBIC-YARD AUTOMATED
8 SIDE-LOADING REFUSE TRUCKS, UTILIZING THE NATIONAL
9 JOINT POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, Fleet Services is in need of three (3), thirty (30) cubic-yard Automated Side-Loading
13 Refuse Trucks to replace older units with extremely high mileage and maintenance expenses; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet
15 Services can purchase three (3), thirty (30) cubic-yard Automated Side-Loading Refuse Trucks from
16 River City Hydraulic Company at a cost of Two Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninety
17 Dollars ($249,890.00) per unit, for a total purchasing price of Seven Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand, Six
18 Hundred Seventy Dollars($749,670.00);
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
22 River City Hydraulic Company for the purchase of three (3), thirty (30) cubic-yard Automated Side-
23 Loading Refuse Trucks, utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the total
24 amount of Seven Hundred Forty-nine Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy Dollars($749,670.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Capital Asset Vehicles Fund,
26 #603110-72300.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
