3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF 1.46 ACRES OF
4 LAND FROM STAMJA-DT AR PROPERTIES, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.00), TO BE USED FOR
6 THE SITE OF A NEW FIRE STATION IN SOUTHWEST LITTLE ROCK;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1710 Standard for the Organization
10 and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations
11 to the Public by Career Fire Departments contains the minimum requirements and addresses functions and
12 objectives of fire department emergency service delivery, response capabilities and resources; and,
13 WHEREAS, a site consisting of 1.46 acres of land located north of the intersection of Baseline and
14 Stagecoach Roads has been chosen for a new fire station facility in the southwest section of the City
15 which will offer much needed additional coverage in this area and will provide for response times that
16 meet or exceed the NFPA 1710 guidelines; and,
17 WHEREAS,the purchase price for the property is Five Hundred Thousand Dollars($500,000.00);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to spend the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
21 ($500,000.00) for the purchase of 1.46 acres owned by STAMJA-DT AR Properties, LLC, located
22 approximately 300 feet north of the intersection of Baseline and Stagecoach Roads, to be utilized as the
23 site of a new fire station facility in Southwest Little Rock, more particularly described on Attachment A
24 to this resolution.
25 Section 2. The Mayor, City Manager, and City Clerk are authorized to execute any and all
26 documents as necessary and proper, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the purchase of such
27 property.
28 Section 3. The funds for this purchase will come from City of Little Rock sales tax revenue.
29 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
