13807 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,807 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULIC COMPANY, IN 5 THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, FIFTY- 6 ONE AND 73/100 DOLLARS ($156,051.73), FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7 ONE (1), TWENTY-FIVE (25) CUBIC-YARD AUTOMATIC REAR- 8 LOADING REFUSE TRUCK, UTILIZING THE NATIONAL JOINT 9 POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, Fleet Services is in need of a twenty-five (25) cubic-yard Automatic Rear-Loading 13 Refuse Truck to replace a unit that was damaged beyond repair as a result of a 2013 vehicle accident; and, 14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet 15 Services can purchase one (1), twenty-five (25) cubic-yard Automatic Rear-Loading Refuse Truck from 16 River City Hydraulic Company at a cost of One Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand, Fifty-One and 73/100 17 Dollars($156,051.73); 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 River City Hydraulic Company for the purchase of one (1), twenty-five (25) cubic-yard Automatic Rear 22 Loading Refuse Truck utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the amount of 23 One Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand, Fifty-One and 73/100 Dollars($156,051.73); 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Services Fund, 2011 Short-Term 25 Financing and Landfill Operating Fund. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
