RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS , CLARIFYING THE APPLICABILITY
OF ITS ZONING ORDINANCE TO LANDS WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY
PARK URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, ARK R-51.
WHEREAS , by Resolution No. 3 , 116 adopted June 6 , 1964,
the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ,
adopted the Urban Renewal Plan for the University Park Urban
Renewal Project , ARK R-51 , which provided for certain land uses
and restrictions upon the lands located within the Project area,
which lands are described in the Urban Renewal Plan for the
Project on file with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS , the Urban Renewal Plan for the Project became
effective June 6 , 1964 and continues in full force and effect
for a period of 20 years through June 5 , 1984 ; and
WHEREAS , Ordinance No. 13 , 777 was adopted by the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , on December
18, 1979 and provides for a Zoning Ordinance effective after
midnight on December 31, 1979 , which Ordinance purports to
make certain changes to the zoning and land use restrictions
pertaining to the lands within the Project area as of said
effective date; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas did not intend to alter the Urban Renewal Plan
for the Project by the adoption of Ordinance No . 13, 777 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
That the Board of Directors reconfirm the Urban Renewal
Plan for the University Park Urban Renewal Project, ARK R-51
as it applies to land uses and restrictions of the land within
the Project area, and specifically determines that this Urban
Renewal Plan will remain in full force and effect , and unchanged
by Ordinance No. 13, 777 , until the expirate date of the Urban
Renewal Plan on June 5 , 1984.
