6335 RESOLUTION NO. 6 ,335 WHEREAS, in 1978 the City of Little Rock began developing comprehensive neighborhood plans for specific areas of the City, and WHEREAS, these neighborhood plans begin with an assessment and cataloging of neighborhood resources and problems, and when complete, include zoning and development recommendations, new housing requirements, and plans for rehabilitation of existing housing , and WHEREAS, the neighborhood plans assist the City and area residents in making the best use of limited resources and provide a framework for the preservation of the vitality of the City' s existing neighborhoods, and WHEREAS, the citizens serving on the Woodruff School Neighborhood Planning Committee contributed countless hours of their personal time to this important planning process, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. SECTION I. The Board of Directors hereby commend the members of the Woodruff School Neighborhood Planning Committee for their selfless and dedicated efforts in the development of the neighborhood plan, and do recognize that their involvement in the planning process is an outstanding example of citizen participation in municipal government.
