13795 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,795 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE 5 LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT COMMISSION TO PROVIDE 6 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AT THE BILL AND HILLARY 7 CLINTON NATIONAL AIRPORT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, on August 12, 2010, the City and the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission (the 10 "Commission") entered into an Agreement for the City to provide law enforcement services at the Bill 11 and Hillary Clinton National Airport("Airport"), and 12 WHEREAS, the Commission wishes to continue to utilize the Little Rock Police Department 13 ("LRPD") to facilitate the Commission's compliance with 49 CFR Transportation Security Regulation 14 Part 1542 and 14 CFR Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139,and 15 WHEREAS,the City and the Commission desire to continue this arrangement for the City to provide 16 law enforcement services at the Airport. 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a First Amendment to the Agreement with 20 the Commission whereby the City will provide law enforcement services at the Airport. The form of the 21 Agreement shall be approved by the City Attorney. 22 Section 2. Absent termination by the City or the Commission, the Agreement shall automatically 23 extend for an additional term of one(1)-year. If no prior notice of termination is given by either party,the 24 Agreement will automatically be extended each year, for an additional one(1)-year term. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
